Core service
Full system replacement
The county form has a system replacement box that is based on health certificate or percolation data, and a separate box for tank replacement only.
This is an independent referral guide. It connects homeowners with independent providers and may receive compensation. It is not a licensed contractor and it does not do the work.
What full replacement usually includes
The licensed contractor is asked to find why the system failed and to recommend a repair or replacement that conforms to the county Local Agency Management Program as far as the lot allows. The county form says recommendations should strive for a full disposal field replacement.
A tank only swap is a different permit type on that same form. Do not let a pumping invoice stand in for either one.
What this page will not do
It will not tell you the county will sign the authorization. An environmental health specialist reviews the submittal. Field borings or a groundwater check can still be required.

Questions on this service
Can I reuse the old leach lines?
Only if they still meet the rules and the county accepts them. A failed field is the usual reason a replacement is proposed.
Describe the failure
Say Fallbrook, Bonsall, Pala, or Rainbow, and whether sewage is backing up or the ground over the field is wet.
